ARCHITECTURAL FORENSICS

At DWA, we specialize in investigating and providing counsel on building and construction issues. Whether it is water leaks, foundation settlement, or other structural issues, wood rot, plumbing, heating, or electrical problems, we provide expert analysis and recommendations to attorneys, homeowners, building managers, and homeowner associations.

Our recent cases include condominium complexes in San Francisco, a retirement facility in San Rafael, and private residences in Marin County. In each situation, we systematically investigated the causes and extent of the problems, developed solutions for repair, provided cost estimates, reports, and expert witness testimony. We also participate in mediation for the settlement of claims.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

SB-326 / EEE INVESTIGATIONS

DWA offers inspection and reporting services for the structural condition of exterior elevated elements (EEE's) such as balconies, decks, and walkways. Our services are designed to meet the requirements of California Civil Code 5551/SB-326. We have decades of experience in forensic and waterproofing, which enables us to quickly identify issues and provide solutions for repair. Our team is able to produce detailed repair drawings for permit acquisition and construction, ensuring that your building is safe and compliant with all relevant codes and regulations.
